Love & Compassion Integrative Health & Healing is a healing studio located in Midtown, New York City, offering physical, energetic and spiritual healing services and teaching.
The owner, Mika Ichihara, is a multidisciplinary Japanese practitioner. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist, herbalist, Reiki Master, meditation teacher, spiritual counselor and Feng Shui consultant. Through her individual sessions, programs and group classes, she assists individuals in achieving total wellness: physical health, emotional wellbeing, mental calmness, healthy living and spiritual growth.
Mika is a Messenger of Light, who was entrusted to activate individuals' Love & Compassion. She is a very special and powerful healing practitioner, who has mastered Oriental Medicine as well as energy & spiritual work.
She is a national board certified - New York State licensed acupuncturist; and nationally licensed pharmacist/herbalist in Japan. She is also Reiki Master and certified Reconnective Healing® practitioner, and certified Feng Shui consultant.
She is a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY) and a member of The Japan Kampo Association (Nihon Kampo Kyokai). She is also a lawyer specializing in international human rights law.
Mika was born and raised in Osaka, Japan, which is situated adjacent to old cities of Kyoto and Nara, where she founded her spiritual base. She developed her clear life mission at the age of 19: making a positive difference in people's lives and the Humanity. Since then, she has engaged herself in offering divine service to individuals as well as national and international communities in health and social justice.
To date, she has studied with many spiritual masters, teachers and practitioners, including Master Zhi Gang Sha, MD, from China (spiritual teacher and acupuncturist); Paul Mitchell in Idaho (Usui Style Reiki Master); Master Healer Ken Kobayashi (Japanese master for Acupuncture and Chinese/Japanese herbal remedy); and Master Practitioner Kiiko Matsumoto(Japanese Master for Acupuncture). She is an adept and certified Teacher of the Rocky Mountain Mystery School and studied closely with Lorraine Hendrich, Gretchen and Chip Thermer and other Master Teachers and Guides of the School. She is also a student of Qabalah and learned the art of spiritual living with the Tree of Life. She has also received other healing training, including Jin Shin Jutsu (Japanese hands-on healing art), Shiatsu, Reconnective Healing, Yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism and Shamanism. Mika Regularly practices Ashtanga and Anusara Yoga.
Previously, she was an academics and an official of the United Nations for over 15 years. Within the framework of the United Nations, she supported its international humanitarian activities in developing countries. In the capacity of an international human rights lawyer, she promoted social justice and human rights as a healing tool for communities in the area of the health of women and children.
She has received a Master of Science (M.S.) in Acupuncture from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, New York; Master in Law (LL.M.) from the University of Essex, United Kingdom; Master in Law (LL.M.) and Bachelor in Law (LL.B.) from the University of Osaka, Japan; and Bachelor in pharmacology (B.Phar.) from Kobe Pharmaceutical University, Japan.
She is the author of numerous publications and articles in the field of human rights and social justice and is currently writing on healing and spirituality.
