Far Infrared Therapy for Cancers: Boosting Immunity

If, after reading our article Introduction to far infrared therapy (hyperthermia), you’ve ended up here wanting to know more about what this therapy can do for you if you suffer from cancer, there are several important things you should know.

Firstly, there has been significant research on far-infrared therapy as it pertains to healing cancer patients. Dr. Nobuhiro Yoshimizu, M.D., Ph.D, Director of the Nakamachi Garden Clinic, Japan, even coined a term for those who could be helped by far-infrared technologies after chemo and radiation had failed them and they were simply sent home to die. These “medical refugees,” as Dr. Yoshimizu called them, inspired him to find an alternative treatment, and far-infrared filled the bill.

Far Infrared Heat Penetrates to Cancer Cells and Boosts Immunity

Far infrared waves, made up of a combination of electromagnetic waves, energy waves, and long frequency waves found in the far infrared spectrum are extremely beneficial to the human body.

Far-infrared energy penetrates the body by as much as six inches. It does not conduct heat on the skin’s surface, but safely brings far-infrared heat into the body’s organs and tissues.

Dr. Yoshimizu also stated that,

“During hypothermia, the sympathetic nervous system will dominate the body and cause the blood circulation to slow down. Since not enough energy is circulated within the body, our immune system will be compromised.”

At first blush, this is the opposite of what a cancer patient would desire; however, the relationship between the immune system and body temperature is vital for our health. If our body temperature stays around 36°C, our immune system works as it should. When we lower the body temperature even a degree, our immune system’s strength diminishes – allowing cancer cells to flourish.

This energy works firstly by raising the body’s temperature slightly. It has been noted that most cancer patients have a lowered body temperature even when they are active. Under this condition the immune system begins to falter; killer T cells which fight cancer, along with other foreign bacteria and viruses are lessened. When the body temperature is raised slightly by far infrared, leukocytes (white blood cells) and T cells proliferate, making the destruction of cancerous cells much easier.

Another benefit of far infrared for cancer patients is that this light creates negative ions. Positive and negative ions must be in balance for our cells to function properly.

Too many positive ions in the body make it nearly impossible for our cells to absorb nutrients and dispose of waste. The presence of negative ions (which are naturally created in our environment after a thunderstorm, or near the ocean side) increase alkalinity in our blood which helps to usher waste out of the cells. It goes without saying, that far infrared decreases our risk for cancer and other diseases.

It is also important to note that cancer has been linked to lifestyle choices more than a genetic predisposition. This gives us an opportunity to use something like far infrared technology to help alleviate the damage we’ve done to our bodies by eating poorly, being stressed with the demands of the modern world, exposure to environmental toxins, and more.

Dr. Yoshimizu speaks of these lifestyle changes for cancer patients at length, even when talking about the miraculous effects of far infrared therapy.

Diet and Exercise

We should maintain a healthy weight using exercise and diet. We need to exercise at least 30 minutes a day and maintain a low body mass index. We should refrain from eating sugary beverages, fruit juices (which often contain sugar and additives, and lack pectin and fiber) and all fast foods.

Water, tea, and sugar free coffee are recommended. Dr. Yoshimizu also recommends at least 600 grams of fresh vegetables and fruit daily.

We should also abstain from processed grains, and eat only whole grains. Animal products are also not helpful for cancer patients. Many people who have cancer also don’t digest dairy well, so it should be avoided.

Also, refrain from alcohol spicy and oily foods, and too much salt. (Less than 5 grams of salt a day should be consumed).

Key take-aways from Dr. Yoshimizu’s book are:

  • Exposure to far infrared rays is the key to preventing metatastic cancers and strengthening the immune system.
  • A 1° C increase in body temperature results in a 40% increase in immunity, and a 43° C temperature (109.4° F) causes cancer cell death.

By following a healthy lifestyle as well as utilizing far infrared therapy, you can certainly minimize you risk for cancer, or even cure it completely.
