Ancient Wisdom for Conscious Eating and Healing
Master Mika offers a rare transformative seminar on the Energetics of Food, which is not widely available in the West. It aims to build "conscious eating." Alternative to the Western nutritional theory, this teaching is rooted in Eastern medicine and Taoist dietary principles, developed over 5,000 years. The seminar is available online.
A Framework for Your Healing
This is a unique opportunity to learn this Eastern dietary theory. Master Mika's seminar brings this wisdom into a clear, practical, and deeply personalized framework — one that empowers you to make food choices that truly serve your healing.
A New Relationship with Food
Understanding food energetics transforms your relationship with what you eat. It heals you from unconscious habit or emotional response to conscious, intentional choice.
"Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food." — Hippocrates
What is Energetics of Food?
Beyond Nutrition
Western nutrition measures food by its components — glucose, protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals. This is useful, but only part of the picture. It doesn't account for each food's unique energetics. Nutrition is also deeply personal — the same food affects each person differently, depending on their energetic makeup.
Your Energetic Type
From the Eastern perspective, food is far more than nutrients. Every food carries its own energetic qualities:
- Its Yin or Yang nature
- Its temperature
- The organ it nourishes
- The patterns it supports or disrupts
Every person carries their own energetic type, too. True nourishment starts with understanding your type — then choosing foods that bring your energy into balance.
Rooted in Taoism
Master Mika's teaching is rooted in Taoism — an authentic, comprehensive framework covering the full spectrum of holistic medicine. She considers food energetics and conscious diet an integral part of healing illness and achieving longevity, together with other Taoist modalities, such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Feng Shui.
"Food does not just contain nutrients — it carries energy. Just as every person carries energy, so does every food. Understanding this transforms your relationship with what you eat."
— Master Mika Ichihara

Master Mika's Lineage
Master Mika's Lineage
Master Mika has practiced Taoist medicine — including food energetics — for over 25 years, incorporating a conscious diet approach to help patients heal illness and resolve imbalance and disharmony.
Food energetics is one of the eight original modalities of classical Chinese medicine: Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Tuina, Nutritional Guidance, Qi Gong/Tai Chi/martial arts, Meditation, Feng Shui, and Astrology/Divination. Food is considered an extension of Herbal Medicine — a critical component with direct effects on health and longevity.
She is one of the few Taoist practitioners today who has restored this original system of Chinese medicine as closely as possible to its roots.
The Three Paths According to the Western Esoteric Tradition
For advanced students, Master Mika's training organizes spiritual development into Three Paths guided by the Western esoteric tradition. Each Path cultivates a different aspect of growth. Together, they create complete balance. These three Paths are deeply interconnected.
- Purple Path — Healing, divine love, and compassion
- Green Path — Consciousness, awareness, and spiritual connection
- Orange Path — Sacred knowledge and wisdom
Energetics of Food and the Green Path
Energetics of Food belongs to the Green Path — the path of connecting to nature and the energy of the Earth.
Food is one of the most direct expressions of nature's gifts. When we eat consciously and with intention, we are not simply fueling the body — we are receiving the energy of Mother Earth with gratitude and respect.
This seminar invites you to shift how you view eating — not only as a physical need, but as a sacred, intentional act of receiving.
Energetics of Food supports students in cultivating the Green Path.
