Transforming the Fear of Unknown

I have quite a few patients/clients who ask my help to heal anxiety and panic attack. While I take it seriously to look into any physiological imbalances in the body, such as nervous system, hormonal system, digestive system and immune system, I often encounter a similar thinking pattern in anxiety and panic attack patients. So, I would like to address the common issue and give you insight on how to transform it.

With anxiety/panic attack patient, there is usually a similar thinking pattern to begin. One may get afraid of something bad, such as fear of a family member getting sick, or enough income to support the family. This thought would continue bigger and take over your mind and you start seeing everything from the fear. One fear leads to another and another, and ending up with a bigger fear uncontrollable. How to stop it?

Many go to psychic readings to get instant answers to future questions. Whether good reading or not, what you need to know is that the information you are given for the future is up to 50% probability. In other words, if you act and think exactly in the same manner as you do now, then you may have a high chance to actualize the prediction. But if ever you start working on yourself and start thinking differently, act differently, the chance to get to the prediction may be smaller. Of course, there is a more definite factor called “fate”, which may bring your life toward the certain direction.  I will discuss this topic at another occasion.

Going back to the question of the fear of unknown, I like you to think that life is full of unknown. You may agree that our mind is taught and trained to believe that unknown is bad. Negative thoughts kick in to handle the situation. People take all kind of measures to avoid unknown and make things predictable or calculable of the future. Some may become overly controlling to handle the situation to avoid facing the fear of unknown.

What if we shift our mind, accepting unknown in life more preferably? I always try to explain that our future is mostly unknown and it should be so. It is for our favor. It is because if you know what your future will be, then you would be bored and probably would not work as hard as you should since you know where you are going. In the way, unknown is a blessing, and will give us a hope and opportunity to improve, change or transform our future. If you feel the inner self telling you something to be precautious, you can implement right away to avoid the worst possible incident. Again, you can change the course of direction up to 50% in most cases.

One thing that helps manage unknown is to build intuition. One patient of mine, who is naturally intuitive, told me one day that she felt something bad would happen during the upcoming business trip by car. I actually validated her concern. So, instead of dismissing her concern, I gave her several simple recommendations before and during the road trip. In fact, she ended up having a minor road incident, flat tire, on the highway, but she was able to manage the situation calmly and appropriately. She reported me back that she was same, so as the car! We were both happy that she was able to avoid any more serious accident!

Please try to transform your fear of unknown to believe that it is an opportunity to grow and improve your life. Without this opportunity, your opportunity to grow may be limited. The more you listen to your inner guidance, the more you are in charge of  your life even with unknown, like the lady mentioned above. There are better inner tools to handle life of unknown better than fears.

We all have the capacity to drive our life with our will, dedication and divine direction. It is the time for you to activate your capacity and transform your life.
